APRIL 2017

APRIL 2017

Dear Readers,

We are glad to share with you the first EFQM Middle East

Newsletter 2017 where we share new updates about EFQM

products and services, introduce our new members and recognised

organisations in the region, as well as a dedicated expert article

from our network. We hope that you will find it interesting,

informative and encouraging to purse your organisation's

excellence journey.

With the current challenges in the Middle East and the competitive

environment we all face these days, the EFQM team along with our

partners in the Middle East are here for you. We are keen to provide

you with the support you need through our product portfolio

including membership, training courses, sharing, assessments and

recognitions. We believe that together we lead excellence, and we

can make a difference.

To encourage organisations around the world to be part of the excellence movement, the EFQM Award is now open for participants from all countries. It is announced as the Global EFQM Excellence Award 2017. With an updated process supporting the award and new training courses better preparing our assessors, the Global EFQM Excellence Award is the right choice if your organisation is looking for the best quality feedback to keep advancing on the Journey to Excellence as well as the global recognition it deserves. Please contact Samuli Pruikkonen if you would like to join this year's Award process and if you have any question.

A major pillar in the EFQM portfolio is our sharing offer which now includes Communities of Practice. These virtual meetings will enable our members to exchange on specific/trendy topics and challenges, develop knowledge and innovative approaches to be shared with the wider community. This is also an excellent opportunity to get in touch with other experts and members from the network, deepen your knowledge as well as keep your organisation one step ahead/always more competitive. At the moment, we kick-started the Communities of Practice with a survey sent to all our Member contacts. If this new sharing opportunity catches your interest, please make sure to fill- in the short survey you received this March and circulate it among your organisation.

On another note, this April we were glad to participate again at Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition at the Excellence Pavilion together with local and international EFQM. Where we had the chance to meet with organisations keen to improve and passionate excellence professionals from various counties. We have shared our products and services and initiated new business opportunities to further promote & lead excellence in the Middle East.

One example of an excellent organisation from the Middle East, would be the Department of Economic Development, recognised for Excellence 4 Star earlier this year. I had the pleasure of visiting this government body this March, with Mr. Leon Tossaint (EFQM CEO) to hand over their recognition certificate and discuss their journey so far as well as possible next steps.

Finally, we share with you the next opportunity to join the Qualified Assessor Training, a course enabling you to get one step closer to assessing in the Award process, as well as how to get your own copy of the quite popular booklet "The New ISO Standards on Management Systems and the EFQM Excellence Model".
